OTS Cool Traveller
Christchurch city is a ‘compact city full of Kiwi charm’, says the June 8th, 2009 Time Magazine. Referred to as ‘gentle pleasures’. Hotel Off The Square’ is 80 metres from the central city Cathedral Square, so just great for getting out and about. Go further and you have beaches, harbours (Akaroa with French flair), hot pools in the mountains, great skiing, whale watching two hours away, wineries north of the city…. heaps and heaps of things. English styled punting on the central Avon river, yet a cutting edge vibe of IT and interesting nooks and crannies. Start with SOL Square and Poplar lane, and on….Unique and boutique, Off The Square, has presentation, and is chic and comfortable. A different offering to the usual hotel experience. Gotta be something there to make the difference to your journey.
We think the 2009 edition of Lonely Planet sums up the hotel well: “This recommended, 38-room boutique hotel provides a fabulous antidote to sterile business hotels and dated motels where every room’s the same. No two rooms are alike (in either shape or décor), and the place radiates warmth with sensual colours and lots of original art, plants and comfy nooks.”
